Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Pour the boiling water over the oats and let stand for 20 minutes until cool. Cream the butter, brown sugar, sugar, and eggs together and then blend in the oatmeal. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
Pour into a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
